In this seminar, we simulate an academic conference, including submitting papers and presentation slides through a conference management system. We use HotCRP for this purpose. The following instructions explain how to upload your files under the appropriate submission class by the respective deadline.
- You will need an IBR-Account, which you can create here if you don't already have one.
- Sign in at our conference system with your IBR-Account
- Start a new submission by clicking the corresponding button. The submission-buttons for the interim- and final-presentation are labeled accordingly. The button "New submission" is meant for the paper.
- Next, the form must be completed. All details may be provided in either English or German. The Contacts and Authors fields should be pre-filled with your information. Please do not alter these fields. You have to provide the Title and Abstract, which must match the ones in the uploaded PDF, and at least three keywords that best characterise your work.
- If everything has gone smoothly, the data will be saved and displayed in the edit-view. Here you now have the option to make changes and, if necessary, upload an updated version of the paper. The submission will also be displayed at the start page. Under no circumstances should a completely new submission be made for an update!
- Submission via the conference system must be completed by the displayed deadline at the latest. After this time, it will no longer be possible to upload or update your paper! This is a fixed deadline! Late submissions are not possible due to the subsequent review process.
